 Shortly after my conversation with Mr. Davis, a copy of The Undergrounder, the U.U.L.L. monthly newsletter arrived. It was interesting and informative. This group (barely two years old) already has memberships that span the United States, including professional locators and manufacturers. One article spoke of the new Gutermann Messtechnik locator. By all accounts the job site demo put on for the U.U.L.L. was impressive. Here's my point: Have you ever heard of Gutermann Messtechnik through the typical industry publications?I really like the U.U.L.L. for several reasons:
If you want to expand your company's service capabilities, this is a solid opportunity to get the help you need. There's no doubt about it. When you work with underground or other hidden systems, locating is the very essence of troubleshooting the problem area.

You can bet your bottom dollar that this group will flourish. They offer a knowledge that you can't find in any book and offer it to all that are interested, all for no profit. I think that we, as an industry, should stand up and support the efforts of any organization that wants to raise our level of professionalism through teaching and sharing.
