Think about it. Drainage and sewer lines are not just pulling a number out of a hat or looking into a crystal ball, they are sized by fixture units (7.48 gallons)

This sizing is used to determine proper drainage flow based not only on gallons but pitch and other factors such as rain flow when a combined system is sized.

Reducing the size of the house sewer is one way to insure proper scouring action but what about when it rains and not al older cities have the luxury of installing a separate storm line like Boston or NYC which was settled in 1664.

For domestic use the dishwasher would require 140-160 degrees F to kill bacteria and commercial use would require 180 degrees F in lieu of chemicals for sterilization.

This is just plain common sense and is in the health codes but being politically correct people no longer have brains to know not to put a child in scalding hot water so the government decided to be big brother and make everyone a victim by allowing lawyers to sue countries out of existence.

A lot of localities removed the building house traps and installed vents that actually terminate inside the structure.

Now considering the waste lines are full of bacteria and flea's and the normal handyman's mentality of hooking up a dishwasher directly to a waste line it should be quite interesting seeing how new antibiotic wont cure the new generations of bacteria that will infest people's bodies.

Now what should happen is having lawyer suing lawyers who made it policy to lower the temperatures to unsafe levels.

Go right after the code writers who decided to take the easy way out and not put into the code the following disclaimer.

"Hot water burns BUT it also kills germs and bacteria, If your too stupid to know this by now you have no right to live in a civilized part of this planet".
