Do your systems have the features recommended by the article "Things a consumer should know about reverse osmosis"? What is the water recovery rate? Can the waste water be diverted to another pipe besides the drain?

Yes, the systems that I sell on the Internet are very well made. I personally know the man that owns the manufacturing company that produces this system. His name is Pat Dallee and is the current president of the Water Quality Association (WQA).

The systems have various product output flow rates so the waste flows will differ between the various systems that I sell. 15 gpd units will have a 7 to 1 recovery ratio. The larger the gpd rating of the membrane in the systems the larger the waste flow rates will be in relation to the 7 to 1 ratio. Most normal sized families will get enough water out of a 15 gpd unit. I can get this system to put out 50 gpd.

If the incoming water is softened then more restrictive flow waste flow rates can be realized.

Yes, the waste flow rates can be diverted to outside uses the same as tap water. You cannot use any restrictive devices on the drain line.

I have seen people divert the drain water to the clothes washing machines to pre-fill the tub and then put the clothes in. I have seen the water diverted to the outside of the home for watering purposes. Just be sure to follow plumbing codes.

Respectfully,

David Walling
