The systems have various product output flow rates so the waste flows will differ between the various systems that I sell. 15 gpd units will have a 7 to 1 recovery ratio. The larger the gpd rating of the membrane in the systems the larger the waste flow rates will be in relation to the 7 to 1 ratio. Most normal sized families will get enough water out of a 15 gpd unit. I can get this system to put out 50 gpd.

I have seen people divert the drain water to the clothes washing machines to pre-fill the tub
and then put the clothes in. I have seen the water diverted to the outside of the home for watering purposes. Just be sure to follow plumbing codes. |

Yes, the waste flow rates can be diverted to outside uses the same as tap water. You cannot use any restrictive devices on the drain line.
