Hello and welcome to our May 2008 eNewsletter.

I am asking all Plumbers out there to help stamp out a practice that I see as stealing Plumbers identity on the Internet.

If you are a Plumber who has a suburb name in their Business Name then follow the steps below and see how your name has been highjacked and leads that should be coming to you are being deliberately diverted to another Plumbing Company.

1. Go to GOOGLE. Type in, say, “Merrylands Plumbing”
or “Chiswick Plumbing”
or “Bondi Plumbing”
or any Sydney Suburb & Plumbing

2. Click on the sponsored link under the title you typed in and see what Plumbing Company you got. Not the Plumbing Company you typed in. This is what is happening to a lot of people looking for their local Plumber or a specific Plumbing Company they know by name.

3. When you click on the link it costs the advertiser $2 to $5 for each click through. So clicking on their link will cost them $$.

4. Pass this email on to 10 of your friends so they can click through also. If we all do this for a week, or so, and our friends join in also the identity thief will run out of advertising credit very quickly or it will force him to spend more advertising dollars to support our click throughs.

5. Why not ring the Company involved and ask them to stop stealing your leads – Call 0424 142 443 and let them know that you want it to stop.

Drowning the Dream: California's Water Choices at the Millennium
by David Carle

Imported water has transformed the Golden State's environment and quality of life. In the last one hundred years, land ownership patterns and real estate boosterism have dramatically altered both urban and rural communities across the entire state. The key has been water from the Eastern Sierra, the Colorado River and, finally, Northern California rivers. Using first-person voices of Californians to reveal the resulting changes, Carle concludes that the new millennium may be the time to stop drowning the California dream. With extensive use of oral histories, contemporary newspaper articles, and autobiographies, Carle provides a rich exploration of the historic change in California, showing that imported water has shaped the pattern of population growth in the state. Water choices remain the primary tool, he claims, for shaping California's future. The state's damaged environment and reduced quality of life can be corrected if Californians will step out of their historic pattern and embrace limited water supplies as a fact of life in this naturally dry region.
