Having trouble removing the tub from the shaft of an Amana LW973W
washing machine. I can't figure out how to get the blasted thing off
the shaft - is there a bolt that holds the agitator on the shaft - or is
the agitator on there with reverse threads? Or am I going about it from
the wrong end? Should the entire transmission come off?

I need to repair the tub gasket, as it leaks....
