Posted by James Char on November 30, 1998 at 05:44:37: From: WA It seems like every 3 years I have to replace the seal for the most used toilet in the house. Is this normal for the seal to leak after 3 years. I use the wax seal with the flange. (I have to lift the vinyl and replace the floor board down to the subfloor each time, which is extra work.) I feel that I am getting too much practice at repairing this toilet. ARE there any other special hints about putting on the wax seal than in your messages in this website? Is there a better solution than the wax seal?
