Saw your question here on remodeling a bath. Don't buy cast iron or fiberglass tubs. The best tub out on the market today is definitely acrylic. Easier to clean (soap scum won't stick to it), doesn't fade, crack or peel, won't stain (non-porous) and it insulates water well. Acrylic will last twice as long as cast or fiberglass and is not that expensive.
