Polybutylene Plumbing

I just found out that my house plumbing is a Polybutylene Plumbing.
I also found out that there is an on going law suit with the complamy that made it.
I had a leak in the bath room and plumber that came to fix it would no touch it.
Are their special plumbers that deal with these type of pipes?
Am I elegible to get any compensation for my loss?
