: I have been working for about 4 1/2 years as an apprentice and would like to take the test for my
: card. But I'm not sure if I would need any kind of schooling before my application would be excepted?
: Thanks for your time

An "apprentice" must attend classes besides working OJT.
My apprenticeship was 10,000 of combined class room and OJT. The 5 years of class room studies were 144 hours per year for 5 years. What good is only OJT if you have no idea why your doing it a certain way?

dont you want to know about friction loss, coeficient of expansion developed lenth of gas and and vent piping as well as fixture unit sizing? that is why class room studies are just as important as learning the practical part of plumbing Good Luck ..SylvanLMP
