Doug is right it is probably the pressure switch clicking on and off. I believe your problem is a water logged well tank. If it is one of the old type holding tanks (usually a galvanized steel tank)you need to turn off the power to the well and drain the tank down till it is empty and then refill it.This takes forever unless you can use an air compressor to help speed up the process.Or you can take a plug out of the tank so air can break the vacuum. If it is a newer style 'bladder' tank,it is possible that the bladder is ruptured and the tank needs replaced.These tanks are a little more complicated.If you need more info on these e-mail me and I will give more detail on how to check them.
