I personally wouldnt install them if the adapters only went in 2 threads. It could be the adapters that are sized wrong. I have run into that problem several times.You might try another brand of adapter or if you are using teflon tape for a thread sealer,try using a liquid thread sealer instead.The fittings usually go in a little further with a pipe dope.Hope this helps!
