You are not using a big enough hammer on the tub. It WILL break up, but you need a sledge hammer.
Cut the old lead bend out, leave about 3-4 inches where it joins the cast iron soil stack. Place a plastic or brass flange on the floor, fasten it with screws and take off with plastic from the bottom. Attach the plastic pipe to the old lead using CT's (also called Ferncos {after the company} or no-hub connectors)
