: : WHY DO PLUMBERS THINK THAT THEY SHOULDNT SHORE UP TRENCHES OVER 1.5M IN DEPTH. I GIVE ADVISE TO SEVERAL OF MY ASSOCIATES ON THE CORRECT WAY TO TIMBER AND OR SHEILD TRENCHES BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS.
: : THERE IS A MAJOR FAULT IN OUR TRAINING SYSTEM IN REGAURDS TO THIS AREA

: Warren,
: every plumbing student that goes through the TAFE New South Wales system receives training in Timbering and has to satisfactorily go down three times , in loose running sand, with safety. They are expected to go down using a tried and proven method which will save lives if there is any problems.
: I was in Melbourne recently and saw at the Holmesglen College of TAFE training as I have mentioned above. It is still alive and well and perhaps if you are interested you might contact a TAFE College in your home state.
