Pilot would not stay lit, new thermocouple installed & now gas (LP) shuts off approx 20 sec after burner fire-up. Jumped red wires out of thermostat & is working fine (thanksgiving weekend with house full of relatives, had to do something!!). Can I replace with generic LP thermostat/valve unit?
