Posted by Gary on September 05, 1999 at 02:12:58: My bath tub drain has a metal stopper with a knob on top (Made by Watco) which you merely pull up or push down to fill or empty the tub. I have two problems. The friction that normally would hold the stopper in the up position has disappeared and the stopper will not stay up for showers. Secondly, the drain has clogged and I need to remove the stopper to free up the drain. How do I get the stopper out?? Does this require a special tool?? Finally, if you can instruct me on removing the stopper, how do I reinstall it so it will stay up for showers but still close fro baths?? Thanks
