At 30 psi, the ten pound spread between release and closing will be too great. Also, as the pressure drops, the valve will start to close and restrict the flow. You would be better off using a motorized or solenoid valve with high/low pressure sensors to actuate it.

: My company is trying to source a pressure release valve for water. The valve should open and release water at about 30 PSI and reclose again at about 20 PSI when the pressure drops cyclicly.

: What we hope to accomplish is for the valve to open and allow water to flow into a reservoir under pressure. The reservoir will then partially empty and drop in pressure. The valve should then close again when the pressure in the reservoir drops below a certain level below the pressure on which it was initially filled in the first place. The purpose of the valve is to temorarily block egress of more water into the reservoir and delay its refilling. This cycle should be repeatable indefinitely.
