:i discovered i had a leak under my driveway during october 98. i don't know how long the pipes had been leaking but now i have major damage to my driveway and sidewalk. the driveway has developed a crack down the length on each section, two sections with cracks approx. 3/4 inches wide. the sidewalk has sunk in a 4 foot area approx. 3-4 inches and has developed a break on the side. Consumers plumbing recovery center has sent me a check for $2404. they expect this amount to cover the repairs but guess what! to replace the concrete drive way will cost over $5000. I don't even have an estimate on the sidewalk yet. I was told there is a limit to how much the claims will be reimbursed but I don't know if I go the "limit" or not. what's a homeowner to do??

I just discovered a leak in my Polybutylene Plumbing. Could you share the 800# you called to get the claim form?
: Thanks,
: charlie:
