  • Description:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve is a simple and inexpensive method of fire protecting metal pipes passing through masonry or plasterboard walls and concrete floors. The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve comprises of a galvanised steel casing which has a fire rated, packing material bonded to the inside surface.

    Uses:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve can be used to fire seal metal pipes which have to penetrate a fire rated floor or wall. The sleeve can be installed around the pipe either before or after the wall is built and can be moved along the pipe to the final location, where cement grout is used to seal between the steel liner and surrounding masonry.

    Sizes:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve can be supplied to suit any size of pipe, the sleeve diameter being always 30mm greater than the O.D. of the metal pipe, and its length corresponds to the thickness of the wall or floor element.

    Packaging:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeves are supplied either individually or in larger quantities.

    Installation:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve is pulled open to allow encirclement of the pipe, then closed and fastened using pop rivets or self-tapping screws. This compresses the lining material against the pipe providing a seal. The Sleeve can be moved along the pipe to line up with the wall or floor surface. Any gap between sleeve and wall or floor can be filled with cement grout. In the case of plasterboard walls the opening is to be cut to pipe diameter + 30mm and any small gap to be filled using the Fyre-Seal-Mastic.

    Fire Test Data:

The Easi Fire Rated Sleeve has been tested to AS 1530/4 in walls for 2 hours and floor for 3 hours. Contact Firequip for applications not included above.
